Altus Financialis an independent insurance and advisory firm that helps individuals protect income and helps business owners plan ownership transitions. We're based in the United States and licensed to serve clients in 17 states.
Our Story
Altus Financialis a planning-first insurance firm. We were built around a simple idea: most people don't need another product pitch — they need someone to sit with them, map what they have, identify what's exposed, and put a plan in writing. That's the work we do every day.
Our individual clients come to us for life insurance, individual disability income insurance, and income and fixed annuities — the tools that protect a paycheck, a family, or retirement income. Our business-owner clients come to us for buy-sell agreement funding, business valuation, business consulting, and executive bonus plans. Many clients use us for both, because the household and the business rarely stay separate for long.
We stay in a lane we understand. We don't sell variable or indexed annuities, we don't draft legal agreements, and we don't prepare tax returns. For legal drafting and tax filing, we coordinate with your own attorney and CPA. This keeps our advice focused and our scope honest.
How We Work

Insurance and succession planning are full of jargon. We translate the contracts, the tax language, and the mechanics into terms you can repeat to your spouse or business partner without a glossary.
Honest scope — we say what we do and what we don't.
We are licensed insurance producers and business planning advisors, not attorneys or CPAs. We tell you where our work ends and where your other advisors pick up, in writing, before you sign anything.
Documented assumptions — you see the math.
Valuations state the methodology used. Insurance illustrations state the carrier assumptions. Planning memos state what we relied on. If an assumption changes, you know what to revisit.
